Again in Tahoe

For my friend Jerilyn's visit we decided take a trip to Lake Tahoe. The weather was still warm but the water was insanely cold, as usual. Still, we braved up and swam as much as we could, knowing that the summer was ending and this was probably our last chance to do it for at least a year. This trip was near two months ago, and by now Tahoe has already gotten snowed on a couple of times. We will try to make a trip there this winter, but hopefully I will post something between now and then, or else this will become a blog about Tahoe.

Lake Tahoe!

We finally took a trip to lake Tahoe! it was short, but a lot of fun. We drove there friday night and camped in the woods. The next day we kayaked around Emerald Bay, drove around the area a bit, and back to Berkeley. Hopefully we will be able to do a longer trip before it gets colder!

Moving to The Bay Area: Being Close to Lake Tahoe

Until last summer, the farthest west I had ever been in the US was Champaign, IL. All my family lives on the East shore, so I never thought much about going west. That is, until I saw some pictures of Lake Tahoe. These pictures convinced me that I had to go there someday, and I couldn't stop thinking about it. Then, one day, my dad said that he missed me and my sisters, and wanted to take a trip with us. We all live in different places, so usually our trips consist of visiting each other in one of those places. But this time he wanted to do something different. Jokingly, I said: “Well, Let’s go to Lake Tahoe!”
