We drove in from Salt Lake City at 7pm last night (more posts about the rest of our road-trip soon) and went straight to see an apartment that we found on craigslist. Then we checked in to our hotel, where we will be staying for a couple of nights until we find another place to stay, and we went to bed after watching a TV show to calm our nerves down.

In the middle of the morning we decided to drive to the Berkeley marina for a break away from the city noise and stress. There we pretended to feed pelicans for a bit. |
This morning we decided to unload the car in a storage room, since we were scared of it getting broken into (or stolen!) and we went out to look at another apartment. After that, we hiked around looking for "For Rent" signs with no success, and now we are off to see anoooother apartment. Apartment hunting is quite an adventure!

We also found this funny hut on the side of the road. It was called the Brazil Fresh Squeeze Cafe. Who knows? Maybe I'll end up walking by it every day to class! It would cheer up my mornings. |
Hopefully we will find a place to live soon, and we will be able to explore San Francisco a bit before classes start.
Good luck to us!
