Last November Lilo and I went to some hot springs we had heard of in Las Vegas, NM. When we got there we realized that they were right next to the UWC-USA, one out of 13 amazing schools located all over the world. While we were soaking in the springs, some people started talking about the 'Dwan Light Sanctuary', and seemed very excited about it. They told us it was on the school grounds, and we decided to head there after the springs. It ended up being about 2 minutes away, so it wasn't much of a drive.
The sanctuary was very cool. Instead of windows it has giant prisms on the walls, as well as the ceiling. It is all white, and basically empty. There was a room on a side with pillows, so we imagine that people do some sort of meditation in here. Now at all unexpected, since New Mexico is full of these 'meditating' kind of people.
Sadly, we went on a cloudy day, so there were no rainbows to be seen on the walls. But apparently if the sun hits the building right, lots of rainbows get reflected on the white walls. Who knows, maybe one day I'll come back and see that. But otherwise, I guess we weren't meant to see the rainbows.
