New Mexico: Canyon Road

Santa Fe is the third largest art market in the US, only surpassed by cities like New York, and San Francisco. Even though it is such a small city it has over 240 art galleries. As you can imagine this means that every corner of the city has either a museum, an art gallery, an art studio, or street sculptures.

However, there is one road that stands out. Canyon Road contains over 80 of Santa Fe's art galleries, making it the place to go to if you are into art. Most of the galleries exhibit Native American art, traditional and modern Hispanic art, regional contemporary art, international folk art, and international contemporary art. There are also plenty of outdoor exhibitions and sculptures, which make it fun even if you are not interested in walking into the galleries. If you are very into art, then you already know that you want to come here. However, this post is directed to those who are not particularly into this kind of scene, and don't know if a trip to this road would be fun. I came here last christmas break with my sister and Lilo, and we had a blast without stepping foot into a gallery. If you ever find yourself around here, definitely stop by.

No. I wasn't being rude, talking on the phone while everyone was trying to have a good time. This was christmas eve and I was talking to my parents wishing them marry christmas from thousands of miles away
